There are several other names for cocopeat such as coir pith and coco powder. Generally, people are more familiar with the name cocopeat or coir pith.
Coconut fiber (coco coir) is the raw material for making coir pith. Coconut fiber will go through a separator machine so that will separate coconut fiber and coir pith. Coir pith colors usually brown or dark brown. After separating process, we will put coir pith into the sacks or bags. The other step is we will separate some coir pith and we will forming it into coir pith blocks.
There are 2 types of coir pith with different EC (Electrical Conductivity) content. The first one is coir pith low EC, low EC coir pith is coir pith that has passed the washing stage so that the EC content is low. The second one is coir pith high EC. Coir pith high EC still has a high electrical conductivity because it didn’t washed.
